The 17th Annual Los Angeles Film Festival makes its way to a new neighborhood for the first time in 2010, showcasing over 200 independent features, videos and short films from June 17-27 at the L.A. Live sports and entertainment complex in the heart of revitalized Downtown LA.  Produced yearly by Film Independent, the LA Film Fest is one of emerging cinema's most important events, and in past years has been the first to screen films that would go on to be huge international hits, like The Devil Wears Prada and Sunshine.  The 2010 Festival will feature movies from over 40 countries, screened at illustrious venues both modern and historic, including the Orpheum Theatre, the LA Athletic Club, the LA Times Building, the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall and more.

The Festival will kick off Thursday, June 17 with Focus' Features The Kids Are Right at the Regal Cinemas at L.A. Live, and continue with much-anticipated events like the world premieres of Summit Entertainment's Twilight Saga: Eclipse and the winner of Netflix's "Find Your Voice" film competition, The Wheeler Boys.

Tickets and passes for screenings, as well as maps, venue and travel information may be found on the festival website at www.lafilmfest.com
