News|'Catch a rock 'n' roll musical' in New YorkMillion Dollar Quartet is a production that was inspired by a meeting of four of the most recognisable names in the music business in the 1950s. It tells the true story of a recording session between Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins at Sun Records on December 4th 1956. The foursome was to only ever collaborate this once and the musical attempts to bring that night back to life. A score of rock hits will be played throughout the play, including That's All Right, Great Balls of Fire and Folsom Prison Blues. The cast of Million Dollar Quartet, which has been nominated for a Tony Award in the Best Musical category, recently appeared on Fox 5's Good Day New York, where they performed Blue Suede Shoes.
